Recipe: Homemade Gourmet Pizza

My family loves this homemade version of gourmet pizza.

Crust:

2 1/2 to 3 cups flour
1 pks (2 1/4 tsp) dry yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
2 TB oil

Combine dry ingredients.  Add water and oil.  Mix for 3 minutes.  Knead in enough flour to make stiff dough that is smooth and elastic (@ 8 minutes). Let rest for 10 minutes.   Transfer dough to greased pans.  Cover and let rise until double.  Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 - 15 minutes.


Toppings:
1 jar alfredo sauce
1 jar (7oz)  sun dried tomatoes
1 jar (@ 4oz) artichoke hearts
1 - 2 cups cooked chicken
Cheese - mozarella, feta or other favorite topping.

Spread alfredo sauce on cooked crust.  Top with 1/2 jar sun dried tomatoes, entire jar artichoke hearts and cooked chicken.  Sprinkle on cheeses of your choice.  Bake 10 - 15 minutes until lightly browned.
