House Upgrade: Bathroom 1

I told you earlier about our plumbing adventures during part of the bathroom upgrade.  Well now the bathroom has been put back together.  We have painted the walls, put in a new tile floor, installed a new cabinet, sink and faucet as well as a light fixture.  The only part still remaining is to tile the shower walls but that will have to wait until we have more time and energy.

I can't believe how much of a difference this made.  The old floors were the roll out linoleum with a small sink and cabinet that didn't fit well.  Since this is the bathroom that the kids get to use the most, I let them choose the paint, sink, faucet, tile and light fixture. They had picked the mirror about a year ago. We also let them get toilet paper holder and a new towel rack.   I think they did a pretty good job of coordinating everything.  My daughter even picked a flower and vase to decorate with.  We still had to mount the toothbrush holder and put the baseboard on, but here is the finished result.
